Something special is happening at our home marina. Aloha Festivals arrives at Ko Olina the week of September 7 to 12, and on the final Saturday The VENTURE Boat gets to play a part we are truly proud of: taking local keiki out on the water, free of charge.
The Keiki Ocean Exploration
On Saturday, September 12, The VENTURE will run free 30-minute Keiki Ocean Exploration charters out of Ko Olina Marina. Short, gentle cruises up the coastline built entirely around a keiki's first time on a boat. We will be watching for honu, spinner dolphins, and flying fish just minutes from the dock, talking story about the reefs and fish of the Waianae coast, and if the timing is right, a lucky keiki may get to release a fish from our livewell back into the sea.
The details:
- Five departures: 8:45a, 9:30a, 10:15a, 11:00a, and 11:45a
- About 30 minutes on the water, no swimming involved
- Up to 4 guests per booking, 8 per charter
- Every keiki must be accompanied by an adult
- PFDs provided, and required for keiki 12 and under
- Preference goes to kama'aina keiki and 'ohana

Make a full festival day of it
The big community celebration happens the same Saturday morning, 9a to noon on the Grand Lawn at 'Ulua Lagoon, steps from the marina. Live music, hula, an artisan makeke, food trucks, and the Aloha Festivals Royal Court, all free and open to everyone. Hop off the boat and walk straight into the festivities, or start on the lawn and finish on the water.
